The British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine (RCHM) are delighted to be joining forces for their annual event, bringing you the third UK Conference of Chinese Medicine.
Theme: Internal landscapes

This year, we explore the visual and functional design of the body through the lens of shan-shui (mountain–water). More than a metaphor, the body is a landscape that requires a skilled navigator. Whether charting the physical structures or the shifting climates of the mind, this conference offers the maps you need to traverse the complexities of clinical practice.

The programme at a glance:
Finding the dao: keynote speaker Prof Volker Scheid PhD FBAcC FRCHM guides us through the four distinctive pathways of medical practice and bridges the gap between divine and qi transformations.
Legends of the profession: in a highly anticipated reunion, Mazin Al-Khafaji FRCHM and Peter Deadman FBAcC reflect on the legacy of the Manual of Acupuncture. They will also lead breakout sessions on dermatology (Mazin) and interoceptive qigong (Peter).
Mapping the physical: deep dive into the body’s structures with sessions on Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (Frances Turner MPhil MBAcC MRCHM), channel sinews (James Woodward MBAcC) and iron deficiency (Julie Reynolds FBAcC).
Navigating storms and soil: explore the mental and internal landscapes, including trauma and addiction (Rebecca Tolhurst and Naji Malak FBAcC), the microbiome (Martin John MRCHM) and the dao of art (Rev Deb Connor FBAcC).
Detailed topography: zoom in on microsystems with Jong Baik PhD (hand and ear acupuncture) and explore complex cases in our practitioner panels.
